Decorah Eagles - Hatchery Territory

A new pair of eagles have moved into the hatchery territory and are busy working on N1. For now the The Raptor Resource Project are calling them HM (Hatchery Mom) and HD (Hatchery Dad). They are usually active in the morning and late afternoon.

This nest is just west of Des Moines in central Iowa on one of Denton Homes Iowa properties. 2023 will be the 4th monitoring season for the Magestics Eagle Watch 7 Nest located in Urbandale, Iowa.

Decorah Eagles - North Nest

This is a massive bald eagle nest. These eagles are nesting on private property north of Decorah, Iowa. Their nest is located in a white oak tree in a scrap of forest bordering a valley. A stream is located across a field where cattle are pastured.
